DIRECTV STUDIO

Production Design / Art Direction

Ongoing broadcast and branded environment work for DIRECTV across multiple social and studio campaigns.

In collaboration with Rhodes Creative Group and MXG Studio, Studio MiMu designed and built modular, multifunctional sets for a range of themed worlds—from Y2K nostalgia to major league sports and character-driven campaigns.

Working closely with production designer Margo Graxeda, the team developed flexible set systems, curated props, and camera-conscious environments for fast-turn content production, with MiMu leading the art department on set.

SUMMER OF COMPETITION

A modular game-room environment built for DIRECTV’s Summer of Competition campaign, designed to support a range of mechanical and interactive sports challenges.

The space balanced flexibility and permanence — with moveable furniture and scenic elements for smaller gameplay formats, while creating dedicated, built-in zones for larger activations like skee-ball and basketball.

The system was designed for fast-turn content capture, allowing multiple game formats, talent beats, and camera setups to live within a cohesive, broadcast-ready environment.

Y2K NOSTALGIA

A stylized Y2K-inspired environment designed for DIRECTV social content, drawing from early-2000s pop culture, color, and material language.

The set combined modular scenic elements with curated props and graphic styling to create a playful, camera-ready nostalgia world.

Built for fast-turn production, the environment supported multiple content beats while maintaining a cohesive visual identity on screen.

MLB ‘ 24

A sports-driven studio environment created for DIRECTV’s MLB 24 content and campaign rollout.

The set system was designed to support talent, gameplay integration, and dynamic camera coverage while reinforcing the energy and identity of the baseball season.

Custom designed props, branded graphics, and layered styling created a flexible broadcast-ready space for social and studio content.
